View should be able to work in conjunction with an independent, professional interpreter engaged by your office to assist with interpretation during the online meetings.
The interpreter must:
- be present at all three stages of the process, being instruction taking (if possible), the online meeting and signing of the documents (critical);
- confirm in writing that they will be present at each of the three stages (or at a minimum for the online meeting and signing of the documents), before they are engaged; and
- be completely independent of the customer and be able to provide a certificate to accompany the executed estate planning documentation of the interpretation details together with their qualifications.
Please note, in some circumstances the customer may get best value contacting a local solicitor or relevant state law society to locate a solicitor who may be able to assist with interpretation.
